Feel the Love in February
Family Fun in Ludlow This February Half-Term
Ludlow Town Council is pleased to announce a programme of activities for children and families during the February half term.
The Fairies of February trail, hosted at Ludlow Market invites children to discover the magic of Ludlow by finding the hidden fairies scattered throughout the market. The trail is free to enjoy and will run during Ludlow’s regular markets, Wednesday 19th February and Friday 21st February 11:30am – 2:30pm. Children can pick up their free trail from the activity stand at Ludlow Market.
In addition, Ludlow Museum at the Buttercross will host a Valentine’s Trail with free love-themed activities. Visitors will have the opportunity to reunite Ludlow’s Love Bugs whilst exploring the museum’s collection. The Valentine’s Trail runs from Friday 14th February – Sunday 23rd February.
Visitors to Ludlow Museum will also have the opportunity to explore the temporary exhibition “Elizabeth Charmer: Survival, Love, Heartache”, a poignant look at the life of a 19th-century woman who defied societal expectations. The exhibition is inspired by Cora BB’s novel, “In the Shadow of the Linney.” It coincides with International Women’s Day on 8th March, providing a timely reflection on women’s history and empowerment.
Ludlow Museum is open Friday – Sunday and Bank Holidays 10 am – 4 pm. Entry is £1.20 for adults and children under 16 can attend for free.
