Ludlow Town Council Launches ‘Henley Road Helpers’ Initiative to Enhance Community Engagement and Encourage Wildlife.
Ludlow Town Council is pleased to announce the launch of a new community initiative ‘Henley Road Helpers’, aimed at fostering community relationships whilst improving the grounds of Henley Road Cemetery. The initiative seeks volunteers passionate about improving the community space and encouraging wildlife.
Henley Road Cemetery is a valued space for residents, serving as a final resting place for many generations. The Henley Road Helpers Initiative aims to ensure the cemetery remains a serene and beautiful place for visitors.
Volunteers will undertake light duties including weeding, maintaining flower beds and promoting wildlife habitats within the cemetery grounds. By participating in these activities, volunteers will play a vital role in preserving Ludlow’s natural heritage.
“The Henley Road Helpers Initiative will not only improve the appearance of the cemetery but also strengthen the sense of community in Ludlow. It’s an opportunity for residents to come together, make a tangible difference in their community and forge new friendships”.
Ludlow Town Council will provide coffee and cake during volunteering sessions, creating a welcoming and sociable atmosphere for all involved.
Individuals interested in joining the Henley Road Helpers initiative are encouraged to fill out an expression of interest form. Paper copies are also available from the Guildhall, Mill Street.
Volunteering opportunities are open to all residents who wish to contribute to the preservation of Henley Road Cemetery and build connections within the community.
