Learn all about the Weyman Family at Ludlow Museum at The Buttercross
Ludlow Museum at the Buttercross has had a wonderful winter full of visitors – 2,614 to be precise since 1st January 2022, and we have received only positive feedback for our gem of a Museum.
Our latest temporary exhibition began yesterday and is all about the three Weyman brothers of Ludlow who went on to make their mark in British history as authors and a bryologist.
Cllr Robin Pote, Mayor of Ludlow said “I would like to encourage locals and visitors to learn more about this historical family of Ludlow and step inside the Museum to find out more about the town’s rich history. You can be certain of a very warm welcome by our team.”
In addition to the exhibition between Friday 8th April and Sunday 24th April there will be free Easter activities for children – with a small treat for all those taking part.
Ludlow Town Council continue to keep the entry fees to the Museum low with a small increase to £1.10 per adult, and the Friends of Ludlow Museum continue to subsidise child entry to allow it to remain free. We are very grateful to the Friends of their ongoing support.
Upcoming exhibitions include a Celebration of the Queens Platinum Jubilee and a tribute to local historian Howard Cheese, who sadly passed away in October 2020.
