Teddy Adoption
Ludlow Town Council Appeals for Teddy Donations Ahead of Winter Festival Adoption Event
Ludlow Town Council is seeking donations of soft teddies, as part of a Teddy Adoption event to be held at this year's Ludlow Winter Festival. The event will support the Mayor's charities—Working Together Ludlow and Midlands Air Ambulance.
Teddy donations can be new or pre-loved, but must be in good condition and have the CE label to ensure safety. Donations can be dropped off at the Ludlow Town Council office, located at The Guildhall, Mill Street. The office is open Monday to Thursday from 9:30am to 4pm, and Friday from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Donations close on Friday 8th of November.
“This initiative is about more than just recycling toys—it’s about giving back to the community, supporting families who may find Christmas challenging, and teaching children the value of sustainability”, said Mayor of Ludlow, Councillor Beverley Waite. “Every teddy donated helps offer a unique opportunity for children to experience the joy of a pre-loved gift whilst supporting two great causes.
The Teddy Adoption service will take place on Saturday, 23rd November, at Ludlow College grounds, adjacent to Father Christmas, during Ludlow Winter Festival. Families are encouraged to visit and choose a new teddy or animal friend to adopt in time for Christmas.
